Studying with a disability and/or chronic illness

Studying with disabilities or chronic illnesses not only mean more challenges during the studies, but also extra time needed for organisation.

It is best to contact the faculty early on in order to remove the possible hurdles before the start of your studies and to be able to organise appropriate assistance.

As individual agreements with examination boards, lecturers, and the administration are usually necessary, such processes mostly take some time. The Dean of Studies' Offices for Civil Engineering and Geodesy and Geoinformatics are available as initial contacts and coordination offices and would support you in organising your studies individually.

In cooperation with the Representative for Students with Disabilities and/or Chronic Illnesses of the Student Advisory Services of Leibniz University Hannover, the committees and lecturers of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy, we will be happy to assist you with your concerns.
