With the help of our terminal server, you can use some of the computer labs software from home. You only need internet connection and a terminal server client.

The following programs are installed:

• Matlab
• Esri ArcDesktop/ArcView
• Libre Office
• Ansys
• Abaqus
• netbeans
• Texnic Center

Preperation

VPN

The terminal server is only reachable inside the university network. This means from outside the university, you need to use the university VPN to connect. Please follow the instructions of the central IT services:

Remote Desktop

Furthermore to connect to the terminal server, you need a remote desktop client:
        • Linux: FreeRDP
        • Windows: Remote Desktop (included in Windows under Apps).

Connecting to the terminal server

1.    Start the VPN client and connect to vpn-server.rrzn.uni-hannover.de
2.    Start the Remote Desktop client
3.    Connect to    ts.cip-bau.uni-hannover.de 

 4. Login under domain CIP-BAU with you computer labs account (cip-bau\username) and your password
