Student thesis projects should allow students to work in depth on topics in their areas of interest. In contrast to later professional life, there is a high degree of freedom.Therefore, especially graduation theses should be among the highlights of the studies.
The recommendations are intended to help ensure that student theses are supervised to the highest possible standard and in an appropriate manner, and that these theses can be completed within the allotted time. These recommendations are addressed to both supervisors and students (Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Computational Methods in Engineering).

Are you looking for a topic for your Interdisciplinary / Practical Project or Master Thesis? Please first find out about the research foci and topics offered by the institutes.
Once you have found out about the research foci and topics, use the form to contact directly the institute where you would like to write your thesis. Please also indicate two other institutes as alternatives.
If the first institute on your list is unable to offer you a topic, your request will be passed on to the next institute as quickly as possible.
Please allow a processing time of up to two weeks per institute. If you do not receive any feedback within this period, please contact the Dean of Studies' Office, Civil Engineering.
