Welcome at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodetic Science

For all new registered international students there are orientation days organized by the International Office. There you will get information that will be important for your stay in Hannover and your study at Leibniz Universität Hannover.

Additionally, the Student Advisory Services of Leibniz University Hannover offers all first-year students a series of events: "Start Smart" accompanies you into the first semester, even before term starts, offering a variety of online events. You can take part in as many, or as few, events as you like.

The events are aimed at all Bachelor’s and Master’s students who are new to Leibniz University Hannover.

For each degree courses, we organise an introductory session (Einführungsveranstaltung). During these sessions, usually in the week before the beginning of the lecture period, you will get an overview of the respective subject, the organisation of your studies, the examination requirements and also get to know the campus and service facilities.

The student representatives (Student Council / Fachschaftsrat) usually also offer orientation days to promote contact between students.
